The Princess of Wales
They say location is everything (not sure who ‘they’ are but we’ll go with it) and this canal-side Clapton boozer would be our first piece of evidence if we had to defend that claim in court. Average food, typical Young’s beers and not the greatest service aren’t enough to deter us from a pint by the water after a stroll along the River Lea Navigation. In summer there are all kinds of walker/biker types glowing with those post-exercise endorphins, whilst the winter punters tend to have the rosy glow of a winter stroll. Year round there is a general vibe of people who have just done a positive thing with their Sunday. It’s nice, just don't worry about the food.
