The Pickle Factory
This is how we’d like all our clubs: intimate, self-contained affairs with no gimmicks or pretensions, a focus on the quality of sound and a bill of intriguing artists and DJs. Set up by Oval Space in 2013, a former (yes, you guessed it) pickle factory has become a blank canvas for proper partying, where 200 bods can fit in the stripped-back space and get to two-stepping, head-bopping and jaw wobbling. No noise from the d&b audiotechnik V-series sound system leaks out; instead the house, electronica and techno reverberates off the walls causing committed sorts to truly shake it on down. Wear earplugs and prepare for lift off.

More dance-class-in-the-dark-with-glow-sticks than a rave, Clubbercise classes are offered at a variety of locations around London, and for varying levels of impact, so you can chose the intensity that suits you. Get your hearts and fists pumping to good ol' 90s throwback anthems, chart toppers and disco hits. The routines themselves are easy to follow along with - what gets you going is the speed and intensity of the way you move it and shake it according to the song. We recommend the classes at Fire Nightclub if you're going for a more authentic rave-y vibe, but there are Clubbercise classes at five locations around London, just enter your postcode on their site to find one close to you!
The Pickle Factory w/ Convextion Live
If our GCSE science lessons/Google have taught us anything it's that 'convection' means the 'heat transfer by mass motion of a fluid', so it's no wonder why this night has got our juices flowing (get it?) Techno hermit Convextion heads to London for a rarer than rare live set alongside Rush Hour Records affiliate Intergalactic Gary and Truly Madly - which is appropriate because you'll be truly mad to miss this. Man, we're on fire today.
Baba Stiltz b2b Samo DJ
It's not every week that we include two picks from the same club in our Weekend Shakedowns. In fact, this is a Dojo first but it's not every weekend that the nights are this good. Two strong up-and-comers in the world of weird techno go B2B as Baba Stiltz goes toe-to-toe against L.I.E.S. records affiliate Samo DJ. Choose your side and dance until your head hurts.
Krankbrother presents Head High, Matrixxman and Fort Romeau
Ignoring the fact that their name is the literal Urban Dictionary definition of a cry wank the Krankbrothers crew take residence at east London's favourite oval shaped space for a night of forward-facing electronica and classic rave. Welcoming German selector Heads High, Dekmantel signee Matrixxman and Fort Remeau there are worse ways to spend your time than in the company of the Krankbrothers... just, don't take their name literally when you get there, yeah?
