The Clarendon Cocktail Cellar
This building is no stranger to getting boozy. It was once a Victorian pub wining the ladies and gents of the 19th century. Now it is a lavish underground lair below an arty, boutique hotel serving libations inspired by famous artworks. For example, there's the Andy Warhol “Campbell’s Tomato Soup" (basically a very posh Bloody Mary) and the Edvard Munch “Scream” (Mezcal, Lime, Cassis, Agave, Habanero). Keeping things steady are a bevy of small plates inspired by the great British pub - Crispy Pork Belly with Sauerkraut and Apple Sauce and Soft Shell Crab with Kale & Lime Mayo. Definitely a sweet addition to Pimlico's drinking scene.

***reopened as Rehab - 7/12/17 - Liam*** Sticking to the trend of opening bars in ex-laundrettes (doesn't anyone wash their clothes these days?), Machine No.3 markets itself as a neighbourhood bar serving the homies of homerton with cocktails, organic wine and craft beer. Aesthetically it's all about exposed brick walls and paired down furniture. Nothing too fancy, nothing that takes away from the drinks which are the stars of the show.

Just off Lancaster Gate, this charming neighbourhood pub is a magnificent celebration of the old British boozer. Dating back to 1850, this grade II listed building stocks a wide range of Young’s beers, world lagers and fine wines, plus its got a killer menu to boot. It's also so pretty you'll probably never want to leave - oh, and did we mention there's a cocktail bar in the basement? Talk about ticking all the boxes.
Boxpark - Croydon
From the peeps behind the Shoreditch mainstay of the same name, comes a delightful dalliance south of the river. Don't go looking for new threads here though - this one's strictly food and drink. That doesn't mean there's anything less to smack your lips over: traders include carnivores MEATliquor, brunch heroes The Breakfast Club, vegan fave CookDaily, and more. As for the liquid stuff: Croydon heavies Brgr&Beer have opened their second venture Wine&Deli at Boxpark, and Cronx Brewery comes from the folk behind Yumn Brasserie. There will also be regular weekly events - think DJs, acoustic afternoons, workshops and all that fun stuff.
