Rowan's Ten Pin Bowling
Rowans is the type of place where dreams can be made, and marbles just as easily lost. It's a Dojo favourite for the pure raucous funhouse vibes: ten pin bowling, a retro games room, cocktail slush-puppies and two wild karaoke rooms, able to squeeze in 24 bods at a push. Be warned, you'll need to forget any notions about self-image before heading here. We've seen all kinds of cool cats broken.

FED by Water
***Closed. Moving Location. 05/18*** FED by Water is a gourmet Italian gem with a fascinating ethos: not satisfied with educating the world with an extensive vegan menu, owner Fabio also insists on cooking everything with specially purified water. It's run through three filter systems: one that take out the likes of limescale, another for smaller elements like chlorine and a third for bacteria. Serious stuff. In pure eco-ethical fashion, ingredients are also sourced locally and from southern Italy - tuck into a ‘Threesome’ (with vegan mozzarella, portobello and smoked tofu) or the richest pizza we’ve ever eaten: the vegan ‘Cheesy’ with blue cheese, smoked mozzarella and red cheddar. Kick back, relax, and soak in the dusky, intimate atmosphere with a fruity cocktail or a Walthamstow-brewed craft beer.
***Closed*** It really was a blessing stumbling across this neat little cocktail bar tucked just off the corner of Spitalfields Market. With a basement rave box, cocktail bar and rooftop drinking refuge, this place is a three-floor funhouse in our eyes. It's pretty much vibe central here at the weekend, with dribs and drabs of people flowing over from the market. But most importantly is the food and drinks; kitchen residency Origins Of are currently holding down all things fried chicken and falafel, whilst magical bar tenders are on hand to whip up some seriously classic cocktails to wash it all down with.
There's no chance you've been prodding around the scene and have never set foot in She Soho. Owned by Ku Bar 'round the corner, She Soho is, thus far, the only lesbian club in London, and for good reason. Its silhouette-covered walls, its snazzy arches and its sexy blue dimmers, the place will manages to feel cosy, classy and sleazy all at once. They also throw karaoke night, drag king shows, quiz competitions, socials for singles and banging house/R&B club nights every month, so every time you walk in, you can't help but get stuck.
This place is rarity in central London: a laid-back, chilled out bar open six nights a week. This spot offers a sort of choose-your-own-adventure - casual drinks on the first floor, or a rowdy club night in the basement. The Social plays host to some big-name nights, including Hip-Hop Karaoke on Tuesdays and their own Heavenly Social club Fridays.
