The Chainstore Gym and Parkour Academy
Freerun your way around the ceilings and walls of this Grade II-listed chainstore building. Freerunning offers a unique workout for building strength and, of course, courage - which is no wonder why it's become such a popular urban pursuit. Strictly no wusses allowed. Located in a disused Victorian tram depot in Clapton, BLOK is a functional gym space/gallery/lighting installation/cafe - and it's pretty darn innovative to say the least. With over 20-odd classes, you can get involved with anything from boxing, to strength and conditioning classes, HIIT, yoga, barre and Pilates. The on-site cafe offers up the likes of bone broth, Square Mile coffee and juices. Surrounded by exposed brick walls, high concrete ceilings and tramlines, you can only expect to pay a lot of mulla here for each class, at around £14 a pop.
Educogym is hell-bent on transforming trainees into lean mean machines in no time. In their eyes, duration is not the key; intensity is. Short, sharp and efficient workouts are what you can expect here - so you better be ready to give it your all. The gym fundamentally focuses on intense weight resistance training, which will leave you with noticeable results in no more than a 15 minute workout apparently - right. Book a consultation and find out where the heck you've been going wrong all this time.
