Night Tales Bohemia Place
It may seem like everyone and their grandma is transforming an abandoned East End railway arch into something or other, but you can't fault Night Tales for their ambition. Set in two arches and an accompanying outdoor area that encompass almost 6,000 square feet, this is a huge Hackney hangout spot offering plenty. There's an Asahi beer garden, covered and heated seating areas, live music from a 300-capacity club space, a large cocktail bar, a beer shack, an in-house Japanese Izakaya restaurant (Fat Baby) and pizza (Sons of Slice). They've battened down the hatches for winter, covering their huge covered terrace and adding some fire pits, candles and, fear not, dependable heaters pumping out warmth. Just don't think too much about that energy bill. Liable to get lively on weekend evenings, head here for a little hibernation, Hackney style.
