Confirming the inevitable Tarquinisation of Camberwell is the arrival of this outstanding outpost from Cannon & Cannon — purveyors of sustainable and ethically sourced British cured meat. Serving up charcuterie, well selected wine, beer on tap and a selection of craft beers, Nape is a destination for cured meat snacking in unpretentious South London surrounds. All the cold cuts are winner but there's warm goods too — try Hackney ‘nduja with London honey on fennel seed toast. The menu isn't too meaty though. There's fresher tit bits like shaved fennel with capers & tarragon or the cornish seaweed paired with cider snacking sausage. If you're asking us, we recommend a £5 glass of Beaujolais to go with a portion of the mutton served with pickled walnuts.
