Morty & Bobs
If you like your avos smashed, your yolk runny, and your bacon cripsy then this could be just the ticket: in the super development that is Coal Drops Yard, Morty & Bobs brunches are ripe for the picking. It all started with a famously drippy grilled cheese toasty that had the people of Hackney dribbling week round. Now in Central, the team are bringing an expanded menu of toasties, eggy mains and decadent sides: from kale and squash salad to parmesan truffle fries your cravings are covered. They've set up shop under the vaulted ceilings of Coal Drops, in dimly lit surrounds with plenty of exposed brick and generally dusky coolness; rinsing down your grub with cold pressed juices, beers, wine and cocktails too. Whatever your usual tipple, nothing beats that combo of spicy bloody mary and grilled cheese sourdough sarnie.
