Kricket started life in a shipping container in Pop Brixton, then moved to a bigger spot in Soho - where it sadly lost some of its charm. Good news for charm hunters though, Kricket is now back in Briccy with a second outpost under the arches. Inspired by time spent living and working in Mumbai, Kricket is all about seasonal, modern, Indian plates (small ones) made with British ingredients. Order a flurry of colourful dishes served in charming, wonky bowls: top of our agenda was the Keralan fried chicken with curry leaf mayonnaise and pickled mouli; and the moreish samphire pakoras with tangy date and tamarind chutney. Finish up with a traditional Indian dessert like the carrot halwa with pistachio ice cream and pecans. Other things that are absolutely banging here include: brunch, cocktails, warming cups of masala chai, and life in general.
