Once upon a time, there existed a market on a patch of Kingsland Road named the ‘waste’ market - a rather ramshackle place where people would trade their unwanted bits: old toys, rusty doorknobs, second-hand underwear, that type of thing. Well, it's making a comeback! Kind of. It's been rebranded as the Kingsland Market and has cleaned up its act a little, hitting prospective buyers with vintage furniture, antiques, and that mesmerising mashup of trash and treasure that London markets do so well. It’s on every Saturday.
