The Greyhound cafe is constructed for the Instagram generation. Not saying we're above all that, but it can seem a touch hollow. Design is considered in every aspect, from the hanging origami fish and traditional lettering on the tiles to the food itself. The menu is a carbon copy of those sultry food mags none of us can really afford. And the food? Just as sexy as in the photoshoots, very sweet and very eclectic - apparently the result of mixing family recipes with late night fridge raids. We gobbled up their crab and corn pops and a mighty tender rib eye satay. If you're in a group, the grilled turmeric chicken is a good option and comes with som-tum, jaew sauce, Thai sweet chilli sauce and purple rice. Novelty desserts deserve their own visit - especially with child-friendly names like happy toast (toast served with tea custard, Thai coffee custard, sea salt caramel and condensed milk). Perhaps not one for your food snob pal, but ideal for a cocktail-heavy dinner with the galz - or a quick catch up in the bar downstairs.
