Lurking behind a nondescript door along the pretty unremarkable streets of N7 is a slightly dingy, windowless basement with worlds of wonder. This is London's first virtual reality arcade: where you strap on a headset, grab your controller and embark on voyages to lands unknown. Once you get used to using the controller, it really is a lot of immersive fun; about as escapist an experience as it's possible to have within the confines of the law. Whilst they also do escape rooms, the main focus is on the arcade games and they have plenty of choice - in both single and multiplayer - as you flit from game to game during the 50 minute session. Our tip would be to do it with some pals and go multiplayer: fending off a zombie apocalypse or flying around a futuristic city trying to shoot others. It seems we've got a thing for guns and violence. We were crying with laughter when we tried this, and spent the following hour afterwards struggling to readjust to reality. Sometimes, that's all we're really looking for from £30.
