In true Mexican spirit and *ahem* true Battersea spirit, Cartel is a pleasing mixture of tacos and bottomless brunch. The tacos and quesadillas come covered in all sorts of tender toppings, like slow cooked beef brisket with chorizo and coriander, or roasted plantain and butternut squash. Apply salsa liberally, grab (with all ten fingers), tilt your head and munch. If you're a more serious kind of fellow, you'll be in the tasting room at the back trying some of the 100 mezcals, rather than wiggling your hips to the live bands. Or will one lead to the other?
