Brick and Liquor
Brick and Liquor looks and feels exactly how you would expect it to. Exposed brick and ironwork play a big part in the decor, as do the bearded bartenders in waistcoats. In spite of all this (let's cruise past the clichés) they do a mighty fine cocktail. Avoid the tiki and head straight for a Clover Club - vanilla infused gin, lemon, egg white and homemade raspberry syrup. Like many a cocktail bar before it, the rule of 'I like these flavours. What's similar?' applies. And if you're swanning about the Clapham area at the weekend with nothing to do, you could do worse than hitting up their brunch menu. Maybe chomping away on stacks of pancakes or kedgeree will help you find your way through this farce we call life.
