Any mention of Clapton and bucket-loads of cool ensue, and that's exactly the case with Biddle Bros. Situated on the frontline of London gentrification behind the spot's original shop front - this joint is a breath of fresh air, despite the many questionable mustaches it's packed with. Expect jazz in the early evening, dj's spinning ambient bangers later on and spectacularly reasonable prices, not to mention you'll find the likes of Staropramen, and Boddingtons on tap.

The King's Arms
The King's Arms is a matt-grey, good times haven plonked unassumingly on a quiet little residential street and feels more like a dive-bar than a pretentious, gentrified East London pub. Chic, wooden and painted forest green, this boozer is sure to impress anyone you bring along for the ride and serves up a truly delicious burger - which is always a plus in our books.
What's good Bow? The locals have long been all over The Galvanisers Union, and we can see why. Standing since 1872 this spacious pub bordering Stratford offers a dope selection of regional and local craft beer for such an unassuming joint. Also packing your fav' spirits, wines, frequent live music and a mean kitchen to boot this is sure to become a new E3 staple.
The Pembury Tavern
What is it with Hackney and great pubs? Owned by Five Points Brewery, The Pembury Tavern is another absolute corker. The beer selection includes all theirs of course but there's plenty of other independent brews to be sunk - in cask, keg, can and bottle form. Constantly crammed with young bearded types eating pizza, this boozer is also packing a pool table, a bar billiards table and stacks of board games - just incase getting boozy isn't enough to keep you occupied.
The Three Compasses - Dalston
Jeez, and people say Dalston’s dried up. A proper old-school East End boozer if ever there was one, with a rotating kitchen residency and a bunch of die-hard locals, the 3 Compasses has pretty much everything you might want from a pub. Cosy, buzzing and cluttered with board games, banging burgers and craft beers, this pub is also big on live music, so come the weekend you’ll be able to rub some dapper gig all over your face.
