BabaBoom has been making quite the ruckus in South London's food scene, so they've taken their exposed brick walling, neon lights, and smiley service north of the river for a second offering. And what exactly is it offering? Pimped-out kebabs and Middle Eastern food, with surprising twists here and there to keep your taste buds on their toes. We were particularly fond of the saffron and orange shish kebab - tender and aromatic, it's the kind of pungent flavour you can feel in your cheeks (in the best of ways). Their sides and appetisers deserve shout outs too: try the sticky sumac wings with date molasses and lime, or their creamy sweet potato hummus served with warm flatbread and crunchy raw veg. Order a frozen margarita to top if off, and you've got yourself a reasonably-priced, casual weekday meal. There's also brunch on the weekends, fyi.
