Anna Tobias at P. Franco
Natural wine darling P. Franco is all about the intimate dining experience. Part wine shop, part restaurant, it offers a hefty selection of bottles from the US, Australia, France and Italy - along with evening menus seen to by guest chefs on six month rotation. Cooking over two induction hobs in the shop space itself, chefs have been known to dish out all sorts of delectables - to be paired with most intriguing natural wine selects. Taking over the hobs this time round is Anna Tobias - who cut her teeth at the likes of Rochelle Canteen and River Café, alongside some pretty impressive chefs. Known for her rustic British cooking, Anna chooses high quality ingredients and does very little to them. She'll have you reconsidering the joys of boiled veg in no time. There's no booking at P. Francs, so get down early evening for nostalgia inducing soups, stews, pies and puddings - the kind of hearty grub that should be shared around one communal table in a tiny wine shop, wouldn't you say?
