For Persian communities, the vernal equinox ushers in Nowruz - a celebration of nature's rebirth that lasts for two glorious weeks. The celebrations revolve around: food and the subsequent stuffing of it in our gobs, seeing family, and sprucing up your home with the odd DIY fix. To get down with the festivities, head to the Drunken Butler with a loved one for a feast complete with all the traditional Nowruz delicacies, such as sabzi polo ba mahi (fish and rice with green herbs), gaz (nougat filled with pistachios) and chai tea.
