It's been 100 years since (some) women were given the right to vote and boy was that road to equality full of potholes. To celebrate the landmark anniversary Barbican are screening a selection of films that follow brave women who rode that hellish road, and continue to do so today. Be sure to catch 'Chisholm 72' (Wed 18th @ 6:30pm), which follows the incredible Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman to run for the US presidential nomination; as well as 'Georgie Girl' (Sat 21st @ 4pm), a film about the inspirational transgender New Zealand MP Georgina Beyer.
