I Am Not Your Negro
Raoul Peck's documentary takes the words of James Baldwin to narrate an intimate perspective on civil rights era America. Using archival clips, the doc plays out like a fluid story, chronicling the moments leading up to and after the assassinations of Malcolm X and MLK, with flashes forward to Ferguson and Obama's inauguration — let's just say the whole history repeating itself thing is unfortunately all too apparent here. Plus it's all narrated by Samuel Jackson, so like, you know it's gonna be gud.
