Food Factory Project
The Food Factory Project are setting up shop in the mighty cosy Rose and Crown in Kentish for a three month stint. They've all sorts of skills up their chef sleeves but this time round it's all about kimchi, bao buns, crunchy snacks and rice bowls. The menu works through small plates of fried chicken; cod tempura with bonito flakes and lime aioli, and bao buns (beef brisket, chicken BLT, mushroom or pork belly - all stuffed into pillowy-soft steamed buns). Then there's the bigger bowls: a cabbage veggie situation, a red curry bolognese with udon noodles, and maddest of all - a flipping sultry beef brisket poutine. Best bit? There's a 'one of each option' for £17 (buns) or £40 (EVERYTHING). We just swung by for a drink, next thing we knew we were piling all sorts of naughtiness into our faces.
