Have you ever looked at your nan nodding off in front of Eastenders and wondered what chapter of her storied life she's dreaming about? Daria Martin has certainly been having a deep think about the geriatric dream-state, with a show which uses film and computer gaming technology to explore the vivid memories of her grandmother, an artist who fled from the Holocaust. Drawing on 10,000 pages of her gran’s dream diaries originally written for psychoanalytic purposes, visitors encounter a film created which journeys through a rendering of Martin’s grandmother’s Czechoslovakian villa when she lived there. A deeply personal zoom into the brain of an interesting lady, it explores intergenerational trauma, migration, loss, and resilience in a totally novel way. Estimated dwell time: 30 mins
