Black Cod & Wagyu at Zelman Meats
Taking over the bar area at Soho's Zelman Meats, chef Olly Bird aims to make premium food stuffs more affordable and accessible to the likes of you and we. Prime cuts of wagyu beef and juicy fillets of black cod will be available for the *ahem* measly price of £20 each (£15 at lunch). This may not seem like the cheapest - and frankly wouldn't be by the time you'd ordered a tuna tartare to start, a side of lobster rice and a couple of cocktails - but it is pretty good value for some of the best cuts about. So if you've spent the last six years craving wagyu, or just wondering what it was like, then pitch up at Zelman Meats; sit amongst fish tanks and Japanese-inspired illustration; and order yourself something fancy. If not now, when? There's space for 30 covers per sitting and no news when it'll stop, so book yourself in quick if you want a piece of the action.
