Barbican OpenFest: Art 50
British identity is a pretty hot topic these days what with the whole Brexit thing. So it makes sense that the Barbican has commissioned this massive day of free activities all about the topic. The show features work from 50 artists from wildly different disciplines, as they all respond to the question of what it means to be British today. There will be a new piece from renowned composer Nitin Sawhnet that responds to Brexit and his findings from a tour of UK towns and cities; there will be work from hip-hop dance group Boy Blue; there will be films and animated shorts; poems; postcards; an A.I. Britbot; and much more. It’s free and open to all which really leaves you no excuse.
