Like every good love story, it all started at a south London record shop - boy wanders into record store, boy finds an old soul and funk vinyl, boys falls in love with music, and repeat. It's the classic formula. This is no different for London-via-Ghana soul troubadour, Andrew Ashong, who discovered his love of chilled out soul tunes at just 16, which led him to DJing and producing his own stuff ever since. The result is a funky concoction of Bill Withers-esque vocals, lo-fi productions and blips of electronic leanings sprinkled in for good measure. This show is nearly sold out - with good reason - so don't slack on this cat. Who knows, you might fall in love too.
